Currently 56F dropping to 34F tonight. 
Last entry in NAJOPOMO 2011. 
NANOWRIMO word count 3,987. Nowhere near 50,000. But, I developed a character that wasn't supposed to be more than a cameo. Then, the story shifted to another direction. I intend to finish this story, no matter how long it takes. 
And best of all... 
It's the last day of hurricane season! At this rate, it could snow next week, though.

I thought your synopsis from the other day looked too have real legs, so I'm not surprised you are going to continue.

Thank you. 
My dad and three of his brothers were in WWII. His two youngest brothers were in the Korean war. There are some family stories about that time, which were the inspiration for this project.

Usually I get lots of story ideas in November, leading to many short stories. This time I've gotten hardly any. Last night I got an idea: roses that spirit away small children. Probably worth developing, but about six months out of season.
