Good thing that wasn't urgent
Evangeline Started conversation Mar 29, 2004
Hotmail isn't exactly smoking or breaking any speed records today. I just received an alert through msn messenger that an email I sent some 12 and a half hours ago was delayed and had just been sent.

Had it been a matter of life or death... you would be alive or dead right now. Or, in the case of Schrodinger's Cat, approximately 50% alive and 50% dead.

Hi Evangeline hun , how's the gone?
Hi Paul, what about your day?
I've been home from the optometrist awhile, so just have the last vestiges of those infamous eye drops wearing off.

*probably needs to go to the optometrist*
You know, I didn't notice the missing day until I read the next post.
My day was full of interruptions. Every time I managed to get to my desk and pick up a pen, someone would come in with a question or something that needed to be done right then. Tomorrow, I'm locking the door.
I'm home and the rest of the evening will probably be pretty quiet. Xena, is already snoozing on top of the monitor.
How was your day... aside from being a bit blurry?

Was just doing some cleaning Evangeline, so it's a good thing nothing on hootoo is all that urgent either.
Actually, the day was a fairly quiet, reasonably uneventful one.

I don't know if I could deal with anything urgent at the moment, too sleepy. It doesn't help that the
is sound asleep.
Isn't the downtime in an hour or so?

Well, they'd said "approximately two hours", so I figured 3...just to be on the safe side...had estimated between 9pm & midnight, my time...so about 2 hrs for me.

You're probably an hour ahead?

It's a few minutes after 8, and I thought somewhere around 9 we'd get those error messages.
Usually, the central timezone is GMT-6, but for this week it's GMT-7 until, we change our clocks next Saturday.

How did my day go? Well, it just sort of went. I spent most of the day tying up loose ends that were unresolved at the end of last week. A lot of things involved making sure that other staff members had a chance for input into some book and audiobook orders I will soon be making. Because we work different hours and in different places, we all have to work hard to have any semblance of all being on the same page.
But things are on track again.
