We have been waiting for a date to be set for these legal proceedings for more than a year. Now that it is March, the trial date has been changed to possibly May. Once the trial actually starts here, it is unlikely that it would take very long.
My friends and I have been shopping for airline tickets online(shopping is a group sport ). American Airlines seemed about average. Priceline seemed only a few dollars less than British Air. Travelzoo kind of scares me...(New York to London for $98.00) I swear that offer didn't mention a plane.

Maybe it's a do-it-yourself flight.
Either you have to fly the plane yourself (the airline saves by not hiring a pilot), or you flap your arms to make the plane lighter so it saves on fuel.

At least that will give me something to keep my mind off the trial.
I'm not exactly afraid of flying, although I've never had to fly. I am, however, afraid of heights and a bit claustrophobic. Kind of hoping that I'll fall asleep in a plane as fast as I fall asleep in a car (not while I'm driving...).

Probably not a good idea.
I fall asleep far too easily on road trips.
Business trip to Nashville: ...
.... What state is this?...
...
Are we there yet? ...
.... Where did that hotel come from?
Then again, most of my friends prefer sleeping passengers to panicked passengers who read the speedometer.

For that price, I'd be happy to see a plane.
I'd also have to book and take the trip before April 2. So, the $982.00 flight is more plausible. That just leaves a few details like obtaining a passport and deciding when to actually take the trip.

Erm, I think you need to apply for your passport right away if you'll need it before April 2, Evangeline.
I hope your trial isn't too stressful.

You come straight round and visit me then! Why do I never have big enough houses for lots of guests? I know ! Me and the kids could put up the tent in the garden!!!!!

We were looking at London, Liverpool, Yorkshire and Scotland. I've been told I *must* visit Yorkshire. Is there a city I need to add, if you would like to meet?

You ought to visit Cornwall as well-i think you would appreciate the little villages where the roads are too narrow for cars
