Hi all, a quick note to say that we've been informed that a new version of BBC iD is going live on Wednesday 22nd June and therefore all sites that use iD services (and that includes H2G2) will not be able to use these services (logging-in, registering) for approximately one hour from about 08:45 on Wednesday morning.

I'm kind of surprized that they didn't "dispose" of h2g2 before this upgrade.

this has conspiracy written all over it
as shagbark has pointed out!!¬!!
my take on it is
they do the update.....but they dont' do us!!!!
then...when we come to log on after the update, we can't
and hootoo belongs to someone else and we are all left out in the cold!!!!
the BBC moves house, changes the locks but does not give us new keys
to get in..........
only the truth can set us free now!!!!!

I'm not suggesting a lockout or anytghing like that. But memories from long ago keep creeping back A519040.
On my personal space I put a link to a PR thread where on 11 January 2001 crescent said 'until later' and the next entry was in April

There will undoubtedly be some disruption when we move from the BBC servers to the Noesis ones, but we hope it will just be "Login in, tick the box agreeing to the terms and conditions of the new site, away you go."
