Here are a few of my favourite things
Researcher 185550 Started conversation Mar 12, 2005
I think this list significantly improves on the one in "The Sound of Music".
I love all of these things, but not necessarily in this order:
Dogs. Ale. Cigarettes. Rock music. Philosophy. Westerns. Literature. Showers. Girls. The internet. Cheese and wine. Blues. Gangster films. Rivers. Badminton. Reggae. The ridiculousness of sex.

I agree it's an improvement
I guess mine would be PSG, ale, mountains, music, the internet, books in general, cake, badminton, archery, roast dinners, doodling, tea, cheese and socks

Whats PSG?
strong tea, baileys, curry, snugglin in bed when its really dark and windy outside, G-forces delighted smiles at something interesting, food for thought, space, wilderness.

I have to say that 'whiskers on kittens' (from the original Sound of Music song) actually works for me.
A few of my other favourite things:
- a fine
- gorgeous food
- lying in the arms of my heart's desire
- long walks
- talking
- reading
- writing
- sunrise (especially with blackbirds singing)
- the indescribable deep blue the sky turns here just before the sun totally sets
- the sound of ocean waves and waterfalls
- intense thunder storms (when I am warm and dry indoors)
- the sound of a cat purring
Well, I could go on, but I won't. Hey, RK, thanks for helping me remember just how many things make life worth living.

no its true, I've only had an old english and my BF has a spaniel. However, my mother had two siamese cats, which were highly evil. I have a cat myself now, but he doesnt go for arugments. I'm not worth it

One of my cats fetches too - olives are a particular favourite. Then when he gets tired of playing he eats it.

Years ago (when I was young) we had a cat that would chase the "torch light" every time I went out to the shed for coal
It would go mad trying to catch it
Years later, when the cat was14 years old!! I came home after being away for years, I went out with the torch, and the cat Still chased the light

My cat Brandy use to jump into my arms upon command. Then one day when he was really fat I dropped him! For years he refused to jump for me.
Then just before he died he did it! ...*whispers...*he 'bout broke my back
And what do you mean you're not "worth it"?!?! Thems fightin' words!
If your cat won't argue with you I volunteer! You go first.
