A little story for you....
Lady Scott Posted Apr 26, 2002
I couldn't very well leave you cold lifeless body smashed right there on the thread, now could I? Had to do something - what kind of friend would I be if I didn't..... and since there didnt seem to be anyone around to help make the story more interesting, I had to do the best I could on my own.... wouldn't want you to have been lying there with no one to help for what could have been days, especially since smashed spiders tend to sort of dry out and blow away after a few days.... ewwwww!

Lady Scott Posted Apr 30, 2002
It would appear that my smashing ways have come back to haunt me.....
I went out to get the mail this afternoon, and as I was reaching in to pick up a pile of junk mail.... I could not help but notice a sitting on top of it.
Not to worry, I did not smash this one - it already appeared to be quite dead... or was it just pretending?
BTW, I like that "May the 4th be with you"
Tee-hee!

Plastic Squirrel /Back, on the good foot, and doing the bad thing Posted May 1, 2002
You must stop killing poor defenceless little s what have they ever done to you?
And I've been waiting years for something exciting to happen on May the 4th JUST so I could use this joke sad really isn't it?
A little story for you....
Lady Scott Posted May 1, 2002
The darling little s you are so fond of just love to climb in bed with us at night and leave very itchy bites. They look a lot like large mosquito bites, except that rather than being random, they are in a row on your body.... they like to snack as they crawl along...
*itch, itch, itch*
If you have waited for years to use that joke, then you do indeed need to get a life, don't you?

I do don't I Or I may just have a weakness for bad puns
still, I understand about the spiders now, I have the same thing with my Dog's little flea friends which he insists get to sleep on the bed as well.

So that none of the little s would be harmed, I have taken a rather large sack of them to the kingdom of Balwyniti, as they have a
sanctuary there. I also brought along a few sacks of their web habitats. I believe they will be much happier there...
You should go see the sanctuary at Balwyniti, just be sure to follow the rules about no encyclopedias or
in the sanctuary!
And puns are good........ very good, as a matter of fact!
Me thinks someone should start a thread of nothing but puns, if one has not yet been started... but then most of these theads are full of puns, aren't they?

Plastic Squirrel /Back, on the good foot, and doing the bad thing Posted May 3, 2002
Almost all of them in fact
I need all my s I don't think they bite too much. Though I did get a little weirded out by one landing on my head the other night, I'm not scared of spiders, but this was a biggy and I wasn't expecting it!

Lady Scott Posted May 3, 2002
I've been married to a punster for many many years now..... and I *still* like puns....it's a sickness, I tell you!
Maybe your s are feasting on fleas. In which case I suppose you need all you can get.
But we don't have a flea problem here since the doesn't go outside and no
s or
s 'cause I'm allergic...
not even enough flies to keep them busy this time of year, so they feed on us instead....

They eat wasps, and as such should be praised for their usefulness, especially when you're allergic to wasp and bee stings like me.
You have an indoor ? How very unusual, I thought it was only my insane sister that did things like that.

Lady Scott Posted May 5, 2002
But wasps eat bugs that eat the crops!
It does seem to be a vicious circle, doesn't it?
Yes, this is our 3rd .... the mean little thing. I never knew 3-1/2 pounds of cuteness could possibly be so mean - she growls, lunges, and bites the hand that feeds her. And yes, she lives in the house. It worked out well with the first 2 rabbits because they were friendly, and we could play with them..... this one just runs away, so I have to let her out to play in the barricaded room while I catch up on emails and forums..... all the time watching my ankles so I don't get bitten. Of course, she does want attention, but only on her own terms - she'll give a warning nudge that means pet my head NOW, and if you don't, then she bites.

I saw a cartoon of it, but noone else I know has ever heard of it. Thank you so much for proving that I didn't make it up, I thought I was going mad again. He did suck the juice out of vegetables didn't he?
A little story for you....
Lady Scott Posted May 7, 2002
Madness is a state of mind.......
yes, he turned all the vegetables white, as i recall.... The cat was incredibly suspicious of him, and the dog was skeptical, as I recall..
wish I could remember who wrote it so you could read it. It always seems that books are better than the movie/cartoon anyway.
In real life, rabbits teeth continue to grow thier whole lives. Normally, they mesh in such as way that chewing grinds them down, but occasionally a rabbit will have misaligned jaws or teeth. Our first rabbit had an underbite, which meant that we had to have his teeth trimmed regularly since they did not wear down properly.
Anyhow, the bunnicula fangs I've seen too - they're not really fangs but for some reason, the two front teeth curl outwards, making them look like fangs.
Strange little creatures...

Fanged bunnys? Nasty...
I used to have rabbits when I was a kid, far too many of them unfortunately as they bred like, well, like rabbits. Eventually I gave most of them away and just had the two, unfortunately though when I was about 14 I got incredibly stoned and decided that they should be free and let them go running off into the sunset. They survived for about 6 months in the "wild" until my neighbour got fed up of them being in his flowerbeds and shot them.
I do feel quite bad about that really...

oops..... thought I'd lost this thread..... I'd read it yesterday, but had to off to do something else before answering it.... oh, well..... gave you a day of peace without feeling responsible to answer it, right?
Our current has been spayed so that even if we should have a fit of insanity and get her a ....
.... *companion*, there would be no chance of a whole house full of
etc. We wouldn't have bothered to have her spayed, but she was driving us crazy with her frequent nest building and bad tempers.... so all the biting and growling and lunging I told you about? It was *much* worse before she was spayed.....
Sorry about your freed rabbits meeting their demise at the hands of your neighbor.... They are such destructive little creatures. The rabbits, that is...... well, humans too, but that's another matter. There are so many wild rabbits around here that we don't need any freed domesticated rabbits to make things worse.
If it makes you feel any better, wild rabbits really only have a life expectancy of about 6 months from what I understand, not because people shoot them but they succumb so easily to disease and predatory animals.... we have foxes in the field behind our house which I'm sure keep the population down to about a million or so in our immediate neighborhood.
