Gah! User error sucks! I just lost everything for the SECOND TIME.
OK, fine, here we go AGAIN...
This year, I'll be working on an entry on alternate days (at least) and will try to end each day at a natural pause, if not at a natural stopping place. The other days will be just me waffling on, as usual. At the end of the month, I'll compile and edit the entry, and submit it to Peer Review, for my second solo Entry, and my first one that's not just a rewritten college paper.
(Sheesh, I hope this much-truncated version posts...)

But seriously, it's researching care and talking with chicken folks elsewhere online, and sharing snippets with you folks that got me inspired to write an entry. Blame last week's 6 hour blackout (and 2legs) that there's nothing on h2g2 so far. A title and half a sentence--who saves a title and half a sentence before a blackout hits?
