And as I'm not going to bother squinting to see better, this could get interesting...
Got a mud mask on, which is why my glasses are over there --> and my face is stiffeningsmiley - winkeye

We got a gift certificate for babysitting from some friends for Christmas, as well as a couple of restaurant gift cards. We figured this'd be a good time to use them, since Tom and I didn't get to see each other all week, and I definitely need a break from Faith1 (And vice-versa, I'm suresmiley - winkeye) Had a bit of a pnic this morning--I couldn't find the figt catdssmiley - yikes Found them, though.

Well, it's time to go rinse my face off--see you later!

smiley - yikes I thought for a moment there that you may have had botox or something...... though I didn't see how the "typing with no glasses" was relevant.

It's not very original to name your children Faith1 and Faith2

I thought figt catds might be fighting cats. Maybe Amy had got some cats while I wasn't looking--or else she had morphed into Pandora (who has two kittems). Whatever. smiley - erm

smiley - erm Sorry. It's motherhood. Makes a woman dull, unimaginative, and no fun at all.

Lady Scott, you are none of those things, so are you not a mother? Or not a woman? Or a rare exception? smiley - winkeye

Hi!,Lady Scott, That's what it looks like on the "outside"...It's a coping mechanism...Half the mind is on your child, even in sleep....So you appear to be "shutdown".....That is why every mother should get completely away sometimes....So she can "be herself"... ...I enjoyed Amy & Faiths visit Saturday here between bus & plane...But at the airport when I am watching Faith {so Amy can have her mind on ordering a snack} I have to apologize to the clerk as Faith is picking up a muffin, and before I can take up the slack in her harness she is already picking up another, and I am quick to wheel around and again put it back on the shelf....and feel I have to explain"sorry, I have not been around a 2 year old for 22 years....So there is not much time & engery left over to be bright, vivacious, charming....etc.....But there are other compensations and time devoted to enjoying children can open up a different world of delight....ie:Finding Neverland... ... .. . Ginger .. ..

And here I was congratulating myself on how well I was typing! (Obviously I didn't read it over after I could see)smiley - laugh

Yep, 'pnic'='panic', 'figt catds'='gift cards', and 'Faith1' shoulda been 'Faith!'

I suppose I could read on paper instead of on screen when I need to leave my glasses off, but there's a clock right heresmiley - winkeye Plus I would've gotten sucked into the book, and wouldn't have gotten into the shower on time!

Yep, I did! The picture in the airport is the best one of me that I've seen in a while--probably helps that it's just a tiny bit blurrysmiley - laughsmiley - nahnah I'll get mine up soon *listens to all the smiley - groans from those who remember that the last time she said she'd get pictures up 'soon' it was 6 monthssmiley - bigeyes* Maybe even tonight, if I get the laptop out and hooked up...

Tonight, Tom had the Penne Rustica (http://macaronigrill.com/menu/default.asp?catID=81&tierID=21&Unit_ID=001%2E009%2E0240&menuType=Dinner) and I had (not even going to try speeling it in Italian) the seafood crepes--which don't seem to be listed on the online menu....Both were VERY yummy! The bread was good, too. Had enough on the card to have gotten dessert, but we would've exploded...
