I'm not yet caught up with backlog (haven't been on all week, actually) and so I've no idea what's happening with anyone...

I got the package finally, Kaz! You said you sent it, what? a month ago? They must have sent it by ship around Cape Horn... For those that're curioous, it was a very nice blanket that'll be nice when it's not hot any more, a very cute outfit, and for me. I might share the candy...

Some not-so-great news... Just found out that my grandma has cancer. We're going to try to get up there to visit. If time's not an issue (won't know until she sees the oncologist on the 12th) then we'll go after Faith gets her shots on September 9. However, I did find some really cheap airfares, so at least it won't take forever to get there.

I'll try to get caught up this week.

Sorry, Eris is hyowg (think phonetically here guys) now, hard to believe she was ever tiny.

Glad the package got there eventually, I should have posted it airmail, but at the time I just asked them to get it to the US, and had to deal with screaming sprog at the same time

Well, I'm going to be calling Grandma in a couple hours, since today she saw the oncologist, and find out what the said.

We've decided to drive both ways, as Tom wants to take care of some business in Crescent City. For a couple days, we were thinkling of driving up to Salem, then Tom coming home via Crescent City, and Faith and I flying home later. Of course, if we'd done that, and folks found out Tom'd been in Crescent City without the baby...



Faith gave me a little scare last week, but it turned out it was just the wasabi disagreeing with her.... But I do know that as of August 7, she weighed 7 lbs 7.4 oz

Well, Grandma has more tests on the 25th and 26th... But it sounds like her leg won't need to be amputated... The cancer's in the muscles and maybe the tendons, and is a rare form. Of course. No one in my family can ever have *normal* things wrong with them, it seems...
