[Several STUMPED members in, of all things, Halloween costumes materialize.]
[Tetsuo] Okay, here we are in the next thread!
[A cracking noise is heard]
The Matrix - STUMPED Stadium
Afgncaap5 Posted Dec 21, 2004
*Nightwing falls in, and looks out of the computer screen. The other side, which is visible for some unexplained reason, shows the STUMPED control room, with only a few idiotic looking droids present*
Nightwing-Great! Here we are. Now, we just have to wait for a competant member of STUMPED to walk by and notice us.
*Nightwing checks the calendar on the wall, and sees that Christmas is almost upon them*
Do, uh....you think that the evil supervillains went on vacation?

[Tetsuo] Don't worry -- I figure if we break the Fourth Wall enough, we'll fall out of the computer on our own. [repeat cracking noise] Anyway ... time sure does fly when you're in a thread that people fail to post in for a while, huh?

[Tetsuo] I mean, here we've been, stuck in this computer, and it was, like, only a few minutes, or hours, or whatever, but IRL it's been two months.
[The cracking noise becomes louder]

Nightwing-That...noise. It's not detrimental to our health, is it?
The Matrix - STUMPED Stadium
RedfoxIII Posted Dec 23, 2004
*pop* into existance
I sure hope that noise is not something coming after us...

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Dec 23, 2004
[Tetsuo] Probably the Fourth Wall starting to break. Hey, y'know, even /awareness/ of the Fourth Wall is, in a sense, breaking it.

The Corrupt One Posted Dec 24, 2004
*Corrupt falls off her bike. The other figments of her imagination are nowhere to be seen*
[Corrupt] Well, normally, I'd call Kalia, but, umh.... I'm outta ideas.
*burst of inspiration* FOURTH WALL!
*CRRRACK!*

[Tetsuo] Yep, seems to be working ... although -- [stops, not wanting to accidentally invoke Murphy's Law any worse than he may have already]

Afgncaap5 Posted Dec 24, 2004
Nightwing-You know....the term "fourth wall" basically refers to the wall that the audience exists behind in a stage play or a TV show. So in here, that wall would be....um, the computer screen. Right?
The Matrix - STUMPED Stadium
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Dec 24, 2004
[Tetsuo] Exactly, I'm just not sure /which/ computer screen it is, in this case.
[The cracking increases.]
[Tetsuo] ... but I think we're about to find out.

Nightwing-You can cut the tension with a knife...

(With butcher knife, begins cutting in preperation for Tension Soup old world recipe from grandmother)

*Nightwing gets sick and tired of waiting, pulls some grenades out of his utility belt, and throws them at the monitor's screen*
