Hello again, Faz. [waves]
I think I failed to join this group by just dropping into the thread last time. I realised I couldn't remember all my "credentials" and never got round to looking them up.
Languages: machine code (various and I do mean machine code since I pre-date assembler), assembler (6502, 370, 80x86 etc), basic (a few), pascal, algol, fortran, cobol, BCPL, C, C++, HTML ... er, I'm sure I've forgotten a few in there somewhere. Never mind, if you can hum it I can sing along with the harmonies.
Platforms: Apple ][e, BBC Micro, PET, ZX-spectrum (a bit), Phoenix (now defunct), DOS/Windows (most versions), Sun (Unix), custom hardware (such as in formula 1 racing cars, oil rigs, nuclear power stations and diaomnd mines...) ...

Oops, the spelling slipped on that last one while I was wondering whether I was allowed to mention it at all. Must dash, the thought-police will be after me now...

Hi,
I'm not sure there will be much demand for it but here we go...
Researcher Towelmaster
Languages: On the AS/400(and before that the System/38) :CLP(CommandLanguageProgram), RPGIII, RPGIV, Cobol, UIM(User Interface Manager).
Databases : DB2/400(Oh! what a beautiful database!). MSAccess(if you can call it a database ). Currently waiting for my copy of Oracle.
Others : reasonable skills in HTML(I designed our website but I went for information and a simple layout. I say it should work, not look like it might work... ).
I am re-educating myself so I can switch from the AS/400 to the grand world that is called the PC... Business is getting slower and slower on the AS/400-market so the time has come to make that move. After all; Programming's fun but I'm in in for the money!
At the moment I'm learning my ass off to master .NET as soon as possible. I must say : .NET is quite a nifty workbench.
I am now studying Visual Basic 7.0(in .NET) and C# and J# will follow shortly. I also survived the Java-course 'Learning Java in 21 days' but so far I have not programmed an application in Java(that fun is still to come).
If anyone has a problem with the languages I mentioned at the start of this posting just drop me a line and I'm always prepared to help out. In return I am going to bug the others about Visual Basic, especially about database-connections via SQL.
Oh yeah, I'm also a member of the h2g2 society for the abolishment of goto's...
Thank you for your attention,
TM.
