Ferrettbadger. The Renegade Master

"Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish zombie, can make you live forever, if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree."

I think that proves it.
The question is, if the BS caused the BB, what caused the BS?

Universe

Professor Sarah Bellum

I was just wondering when we consider ET life, do we need to consider life in our Galaxy or life in the Universe.
These may seem not too different but what are the chances of contacting Extra-Galactic life. Even in our own Galaxy, apart from knowing there is life out there, it isn't very useful contacting anything further than a couple of hundred light years, and even then conversation would be tricky.
With in a hundred light years would be something. At least we could exchange information and have an understanding as long as it could be mantained. Less than 50 light years and less, we could send a questiong and hope to be alive to hear the reply.

I think the point I'm trying to make is if we wanted to contact ET life, would it be any help at all to consider anything beyond our own Galaxy. Detecting life anywhere in the Galaxy would be great but how close does it need to be before it becomes more annoying at being too far away than useful?

are we alone in the universe?

Post 420

we may not be alone, but looking at great distances in space is pointless in terms of finding forign life, as the light will meet your eye, and you will see what was happening even millions of years ago in one place, making it useless to try and look for alian current alian life as we would just bee seeing into the past, or seeing past events from many years back appear now smiley - cool
