Hello there,
I want a list of funny/silly names. So, if everyone could please post all the funny/silly names they know of, I would appreciate it.
It's always good to have such a list.
Cheers.

Hello again SlushPuppie
You could just have a look at the 'who's online' list
My old teachers had some fairly names; Mrs. Botright was my favourite

Heaps! My sister had a teacher called Miss Kitchen, who was getting married and came back from her honeymoon still Miss Kitchen, she didn't want to use her married name - (very unusual in the 1960s) because she was Mrs van der Pump.
My aunt married a man called Chitty, and wouldn't admit it - she bullied him into being Mr Peabody for the rest of his life.
My favourite is Professor Beaglehole. He wrote textbooks.
There are some others which I will add later.

Then again, I also knew someone called
Giles Fogwill
Presumably his mother bears a grudge?

My sister was a teacher named Miss Kitchens, and when she returned from her honeymoon she spent another two terms as Miss Kitchens before she began using her married name. (Howzat for coincidence?)
Years ago I knew someone whose surname was Dickburn.
I work with a Fanny and a Hussie.

I don't believe you. That is, unless you're secretly a character from a children's book brought to life.
Two years above me in school was a guy called Danny Grewcock.
The father of a guy in my year was called Jamshed Irani.
A distant relative (we meet at family gatherings now and then) is married to a lady from Madagascar. Their children are called Marc-Olivier and Demi-Florent.
I'm pretty sure it's a stage name, but I once saw an actor in a film named James Foxxx.
There are some good foreign names. Try just browsing through the results lists of http://www.cyclingnews.com/ for some good ideas.

Years ago I knew a girl named Candy Cane (seriously) whose sister's name was Sugar. I've always wondered what it was their parents were on.
And a few years back there was a student in a friend's class named Crystal Ball.
I used to work with a man named Michael Hunt, who went by Michael for obvious reasons (unless you don't speak English as a first language)

I can't beleive parents don't stop to think about these things, they probably spent ages choosing the name Michael without giving a second thought as to whether it went with his surname.

Surely one of the silliest (and unfortunate) names is that of the footballer Mr. Dickov. If that isn't bad enough, his parents though PAUL would be sufficient for a forename.
Paul Dickov!
Surely?

there's a couple of buildings on campus, named after people, called 'h.r. bum bright' and 'melbern glasscock' buildings.
