It depends on your personal preference. It's good in that you can pick your own topic, so you can choose something you're interested in. On the other hand, it takes a lot of time, independent research and is worth 20% of the degree. That can be good because you have a year to do it, but if you prefer exams or somehow end up doing badly, it's obviously a bit of a problem.

well yeah exam you only have x amount of time so you are always conscious of the time and as you say mistakes happen

Hello. Sorry its taken so long to reply here, but I only just arrived.

...did you say "dissertation"?

Well, my dissertation takes a year, so it's not that impressive.
