The heavyweight champion - a clear winner - it's Geggs with a massive +8
A similarly immovable object but living on the moon, so therefore experiencing only 1/6th of the gravity and thus only coming in second in our weight-rankings, it's Shagbark with a lunatic +6.
Sequestered in the lab on rotating shifts, highly caffeinated and nearly totally myopic from staring down the telescope attempting to catalogue the nuggets of Interestingness on The Balance of Reality, all in the name of Science. It's the over-worked lab assistants Gt and Clive sharing joint credit on the research paper, +2 a piece.
But our intellectual lightweight is Taff with a density of -21.

For the reason Shagbark gives (*ahem* )
But also becuase I'm a little out of practice a made a few boobs in the scoring, however if you study carefully the scores just posted above, I trust you'll see that I've corrected any oversights.

The 18th Dimension.
"Dimension" from the Latin 'dimensionem' meaning "a measuring."
Kg 18, as you know now was the 18th ingot, from the original 40, which the UK received and it is The UK's primary standard of Mass.
And I therefore call this QI adjourned - I hope you all enjoyed it.

The answer I was looking for was "Kilogram"
I've credited with you with points for saying "weight" in post 8, though I failed to notice at the time, so it was, as I said an oversight - my memory of that was you very quickly began discussing imperial measurements and length was mentioned a few times so I figured it wasn't straying close enough to the answer for me to volunteer an interjection - and you have now been credited with points for it anyway.

i only got a dgi for the temp asspect, as you said in the answer its a weight and its constantly weighed
i got all those s because you implied it was not a weight which it turned out to be!!!!

"the weights and measures all other weights and measures are calibrated from, it has to be climate controlled because different materials expand with heat/cold and that could affect length and volume"
Well if you want me to spell out my reasoning I will.
From that you cannot derive "kilogram" which would been the correct answer.
It's definitely not worth a QI Bonus.
So that really only leaves a DGI.
Now at the time I awarded that for "temperature" which I recognise was a mistake on my part, it should have been for "weight and temperature" - might that have steered the conversation in another direction, impossible to say, maybe, probably, but it's done now and I've think I've properly accredited you with the corrected number of points.
For example, you said "film archive" before Robyn (something else I failed to spot) so you picked up her klaxon for that.
I also credited Geggs with an additional DGI (raising his score from 7 to 8 but not changing the outcome) for their post about the Patrician's Safe. At the time I didn't think it sufficiently relevant but looking back I've awarded a DGI bonus for the context.
I also sorted out the question of who said "Gold" first between Mu Beta and GT.
You know I'm only human, I made a few errors in putting this together but overall I think I'm satisfied that the scores properly reflect the contest.
I apologise for my part, but am sorry you don't feel the same way.

<"the weights and measures all other weights and measures are calibrated from,>
it may not be a weight but it is still a measure
just like length and volume
