Thats not much to go on and given the histopy of plumbing, the time frame is from Imperial Rome to today

Piping could be the barrel of a gun?

How did the length of piping lead to death? Applied to the back of head? Due to bad plumbing? Snorkel (thus asphyxiation)? Stabbed with?

This is murder as cold-blooded as it gets.

But 'piping' means some bit of pipe (like the sort used in plumbing or for oil or whatnot), doesn't it? Or may there be some sneaky meaning I'm unaware of?

Some guy was sexed to death? Felix Faure? Ah no, that was accident.

He was a French president know for dying in the arms of a mistress. Allegedly, when the doctor arrived, he asked the butler:

He was seemingly a very naughty boy, and when the husband of his mistress dicovered that she had a lover (and what lover!), alledgedly, he went sleeping around untli he got siphyllis or something, slept with his wife to contaminate her so that she in turn would contaminate the King. Or so they say.
