Before you ask, the weapon of choice was a length of piping.
Who's snuffed it? Whodunnit? and Why?
Googling and Wikipedia are forbidden.
Good luck, Be bold, preferably interesting but never obvious.

So someone was killed with a lead pipe in a Palace
Thats not much to go on and given the histopy of plumbing, the time frame is from Imperial Rome to today
This will be interesting

Length of piping, what material? Lead, Plastic, Wood, Iron?
Piping could be the barrel of a gun?
Palace? Needn't be a Royal Palace....
Could it be Crystal Palace?
(awaits the arrival of the klaxon police)...
How did the length of piping lead to death? Applied to the back of head? Due to bad plumbing? Snorkel (thus asphyxiation)? Stabbed with?

... But that would be an accident, not murder, would it?

>>Length of piping, what material? Lead, Plastic, Wood, Iron?<<
None of those. But of what does the piping consist - good question.
DGI +1
>>barrel of a gun?<<
Nope
>>Palace? Needn't be a Royal Palace.<<
Oh Royalty is involved to be sure.
>>Could it be Crystal Palace?<<
Not this time.
>>How did the length of piping lead to death?<<
Well precisely.

This is murder as cold-blooded as it gets.

But 'piping' means some bit of pipe (like the sort used in plumbing or for oil or whatnot), doesn't it? Or may there be some sneaky meaning I'm unaware of?

Some guy was sexed to death? Felix Faure? Ah no, that was accident.
He was a French president know for dying in the arms of a mistress. Allegedly, when the doctor arrived, he asked the butler:
"Le président a-t-il toujours sa connaissance ?"
"Non, elle est partie par l’escalier."

Ah, maybe King of France François 1er.
He was seemingly a very naughty boy, and when the husband of his mistress dicovered that she had a lover (and what lover!), alledgedly, he went sleeping around untli he got siphyllis or something, slept with his wife to contaminate her so that she in turn would contaminate the King. Or so they say.

>Some guy was sexed to death?<
Wrong in just about every way possible. The victim was female, and the perpetrator virginal.
But have a DGI +1 for effort.
