the family fight
only know 3 jock fights not bannock burn, that was the shiltrens
culoden was the bayonette drill so it must be glencoe
this was on TV not long back, the glen was virtually a fortress and easily defendable due to the steep valley walls, but it also made it impossible to escape

Catherine Howard is the one who would rather have died a wife of Culppper according to legend.
Thomas Culpepper was one of the men (and her cousin I believe) with whom she was accused of adultery.
She was executed 1542 - I assume it was 13 Feb ....
(been reading about the 6 wives of Henry VIII recently)

there was a march in dresden this week
was it dresden???
the amount and intensity of the fire bombing of dresden by the allies during WWII created a condition called a firestorm
the up draft of the fire sucked air in from around fanning the flames and increasing the intensity, causing even more air to be sucked in fanning the flames even more in a self perpetuatin/sustaining cycle, the air itself was litrally on fire and the city burned for about a week
