It is exactly that, and thanks to the GOCE satellite we now how a map of how much gravity varies on Earth. +3

Although the field varies all over earth, I chose India for the potential. The Himalayas were a because the very high mountain ranges see a higher gravity field.

And finally, denser than a bucket of lead is Taff with -10

Gravity is over-rated. And much misunderstood.
It may not actually exist as such. When you think about it
the earth's core is mostly liquid iron swirling and rotating
beneath the mantel of the earth like a giant electric generator.
Its 'magnetic' pull would vary with the thickness and density
of the shielding crust.
Poo-poo you say, but I must remind you of the scale of such a dynamo.
Its power would not be measurable in terms of what we know as standard
magnets and electromagnetic energies. It's a case of the flea on the elephant's
trunk; we just don't see the whole picture, and most are even reluctant
to imagine it.
