Thank you for reading so closely, Shagbark! What can I ask you to do now, except to read closely again?

It is only fair to answer each point, so here goes:

1. "This is in fact no more than the truth"...in fact it is less than the truth.

>OK, you disagree. But hear me out.

2. "equally visible to all, can be photographed and are rationally discussable in a way that many 'subjective' experiences are not." ...Many magicians illusions have been photographed including David Coperfield crossing the Grand Canyon. Just because it was photographed doesn't mean it occurred.

>But a photograph of a rainbow *is* hard evidence, of the kind that subjective experiences lack.

3. "a rationally-discoverable shape in three dimensions"... yes, the depth of the rain storm.

>Agreed.

4. "Where is the cone's point, when we are looking at a rainbow? Well, it would appear to be inside the eyeball"...by that logic the moon also is a cone with an existence all the way from its orbit to Earth.

>Not at all. Its fragmentary shape can be properly extended to complete a cone, in just the way that a fragment of pottery implies a complete pot's shape. Projecting the sight lines of the moon is not the same sort of move.

5. "It is also in consciousness that all the values in the universe are situated"...but whose consciousness ours or God's?

>Ours. Or God's if you like. Which brings us to A3472986 . . .

Another day's work altogether. Feel free to ignore that can of worms.smiley - cheers
