At the entrance to my park, there's a spot where apparently someone's kite string got caught and twisted around a tree branch. A bird got its foot caught in the string and couldn't get loose. I got some scissors and cut the bird loose. It flew away, as far as it could get.

I take it that bird was too scrawny?

Or looked like it did not taste well?

Or both? smiley - bigeyes

The bird was flailing around in great panic. I felt deeply sorry for it. Laurence Olivier used to say that when he needed to cry onstage, he imagined that he was a fox with its leg caught in a trap. I hate to see creatures trapped. smiley - sadface

I was not able to help any animals yesterday, but I found a credit card in a parking lot in front of a super market. The arabic sounding name on it told me it obviously belonged to an immigrant. Since the bank issuing the card was near by I carried it there and put it in their letter box.

It made me feel good that at least one immigrant now will be given to know that not all people living here are hostile xenophobics smiley - smiley

You'd be surprised how many miss the question as to how Calpurnia figured in classical mythology.
