I've probably been reading too many murder mysteries lately.

Last night, I had a very coherent dream that seemed just like a real situation:

A good-paying job opened up for me: I would be paid $62,000 a year to be the head manager in a W*l-M*rt. It turned out to be an easy job to pull off. Hardly anyone ever bothered me. No one made me wear uncomfortable suits or neckties. I hadplenty of leisure time, and I cou'd spend it in a room in a corporate apartment building that had no other tenants.

Eventually I discovered the *reason* why the job was so cushy. Turns out the previous manager had been murdered. The killer was still at large, so they needed bait to get him or her to come out of hiding and strike again. I was the "bait."

but just think

it's a job (none anywhere at the mo')
all that overtime
and staff discount on bulletproof vest

*sits back and waits for the sequel*

Next time, think: Doesn't that store sell guns?

i "awoke" to my phone ringing yesterday and decided not to answer it because i thought it was a business call...
i have never worked in business and have never received what i would call a business call
luckily i woke up enuf to answer it and find it was my son

i wonder why anyone would want to kill W*l-M*rt managers?

if you do go back into that dream, paulh,
maybe you should tip them off to look in the cereal aisle?

It wasn't the most realistic dream. This was a store that only seemed to have one cashier.

So it was a KMart, then

...couldn't very well be the local AA chapter, then...

In the logic of the dream itself, having only one cashier indicated how gullible I was and how deceptive the company was. I was their dream dupe.

I've often seen conditions at the local W*l-M*rt where only one cash register was in service, even though they had enough checkout lanes to accommodate a holiday season rush.

That was a very bizarre and very entertaining dream Paul. I have had several dreams in the past where I have seen myself flying over London around Tower Bridge and London Bridge area and when I landed I always ended in Oxford Circus. The strangest thing was the whole area was deserted except for bizarre looking sentient 6 decker buses that shook like jelly that had giant mouths in the front where the bus driver would have been.

When I was kid, I often dreamed about flying. That no longer happens. The dreams I've been having lately have been pretty complex, often involving heavy moral quandaries. I can't imagine finding reasonable interpretations of them from the Internet "dream interpretation" sites.

On flying dreams, the very last time I had one, I was flying along and happened to notice another fellow flying along side, a couple of meters to my right and a couple of meters higher.

Next I saw something that looked like a tree and landed on it, only to find that it was not a real tree after all, but a construction of steel pipe covered over with concrete molded and painted to resemble bark.

Then I climbed down, walked away, and haven't had a flying dream since.




On traditional as distinct from psychoanalytical dream interpreters, I've occasionally turned up some genuinely insightful ones in actual books, but if any are active on the internet, they're getting lost in the googleplethora of internet clutter and have so far eluded me.

There are usually clues in what I've been doing or thinking about prior to my dreams.
