Me, Myself, I, The Old Coot In My Closet, And The Incomparable Id [Call me "Id" for short.]

*breaks out the smelling salts*

Don't worry, folks, he'll be alright, just back up and give him some air . . .

There, now, feeling better, are we? Just remember: No matter how busy you think you are, there's someone who's having a worse time of it.

(My life has become Oz. I am Oz. I live, breath, eat, and sleep Oz. Oz rules all. Oz is taking over the world! All hail the Oz . . .)

What is the opposite of a shameless plug - a shamed plug? A shameful plug?

Assuming that you plug a gap, I believe it would be a shamefull gap. Can a gap be shamefull? Am I spelling shamefull correctly? Will I ever learn not to join pit orchestras? Will our hero survive Oz? Join us next week on "The Lifesyle of Id," for the answers to these and other exciting questions!

Me, Myself, I, The Old Coot In My Closet, And The Incomparable Id [Call me "Id" for short.]

even though my dear friend Alex seems depressed . . . there is just something i have to tell the world.

and maybe it'll cheer her up.

idunno if anyone remembers a little while ago when *i* was depressed because a friend of mine was having problems and not letting anyone help him, and then he was getting mad at people who tried to help, and how he finally twigged on me and with a "Fine!" ran off in a huff. well, i'm forced to see him every day in the hallway several times, and i'm sure you can visualize how two people can be so busy *not* looking at each other that they literally run into each other.

well, the other day we had a near head on collision and, as usual, he pretended i wasn't there. not a word, also as usual lately. it was rather depressing, and it kind of ruined my day. things like that had been driving me out of my gourd for a month or so.

today *i* finally twigged. flipped. went f-ing insane. and the funny thing is, i swear i haven't laughed this much in years.

i was walking towards the Y-shaped intersection of three hallways this morning, looking down the hallway i *wasn't* going to turn into at another friend of mine who was making a face at me. i was laughing and waving at that person when i turned into the third hallway without really looking. guess who i nearly ran into, again.

it was him, and as soon as he noticed that i'd noticed him and avoided actually running him over he pointedly looked past me and ignored me.

and he had the most sour expression on his face i could imagine.

my brain took a holiday for several nanoseconds and we came closer to each other and just as he passed it cut back in on the auto-pilot and returned, "You b*stard!"

i didn't say it out loud, thank goodness, i only thought it (cheefully). what i did do, though, is start lauging hysterically. as he walked past, right in his face, staring him in the eye even though he wouldn't look back. he never even flinched, but i don't see how he could have missed me laughing my backside off right in front of him. i've been relating and reliving the story all day long and i'm *still* laughing.

when reality sets in and i realize that i've probably just ruined any chance of ever making up with him, i'll probably cry. but right now, it's just too funny. cheese! i can't stop laughing.

i think i must have finally gone truly and completely insane.

it's a wonderful feeling.
