Laffertys has a dart board as well and is a quality pub.

but kinda small....
I had to sit in Ma-bels for an hour and a half this week, supervising a 3-legged pub crawl
oh the trauma

Oh, and Ogstons is no more
Not sure if it has been taken over, or just revamped - but is now The Gin House, and is apparently minimalistic and not nearly as nice (I've not visited the new incarnation yet)

No, I thought of this too but then it would have been silly for Bagpuss to post a clue in an article I wrote!
Talking of darts, I scored a 180 the other day

Ogstons aka the Gin House is pretty much the same as before - once it gets packed with people on a Friday or Saturday night you can't really tell the difference. If anything it's better because they've opened up the back so it's bigger.

rooftiler - back again, for another bit at least Posted Mar 19, 2004
I used to love wandering down to the 'Himalayas' (Very hilly putting green next to the Old Course 18th) of an afternoon for a round or two with some mates, then popping over to the Jigger (at the back of the OC Hotel) for a couple of pints and a game of darts(!) followed by a mazy wander back across the 18th and 1st fairways to good ol' AMH for tea.
Perhaps that was a contributing factor to my 1st year results not being what they should...
