h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I was pouting, and stuff for weeks 'cause I had no idea how to make my user number = 42, but thanks to the most wonderful help of Tegan[-1+(7^2)-2-0-4=42] I was shown [1*7(0!+2)(0!+1)=42] for my # of 170201 so I'm very happy now. I was asked to submit it to you, and give credit to Tegan[-1+(7^2)-2-0-4=42], which I'm more than happy to do. Now off I go to play with the other gods and goddesses in the battle of the gods thread... Have fun!

Oh, Saturn Girl (tBsG), I was delighted to help. It's fun. I'm just glad you first posted your request somewhere besides here. Everyone else is too quick to give me a shot at any of these.

Dear leader Argon0 (7*((7+0)-(8^0)))=42)(keeper of 42isms -see A530560)(Drunk - on GOOBeret Wine), would you add my link?

Also, a suggestion for you, dear leader? In the instructions section of your fabulous Guide Entry A530560, might you want to include the info I gleaned from that conversation entitled "0^0", to wit:
a^0=1,
0^a=0
(both of which I did know, actually, but found helpful to see),
0^0 is undefined, and, most especially:
0!=1

This last was the key to my success in helping Saturn Girl (tBsG), and I'm sure will prove helpful to many others stymied by otherwise intractable ID Numbers (can you tell I'm avoiding my work).

Just so you know Suturn Gurl there is another, easier way to do your Number:

U170201 = 1*7 * (0+2+0+1)! = 42
