Apparently some stuff I put up for the first time has been rejected specifically so far my introduction and by this time probably my conversations as well and I wonder if anyone else is having trouble working out what it is permissible to say. Now I suspect my Alan Moore piece will also be rejected but it is simply an opinion I would use in a conversation among friends so I apologise to the Moderators and can only say that eventually I will tone it down from what my friends would listen to, to what is permissible on the BBC. If anybody can tell me the exact limits of offense I can use I will happily stick to them. I can be contacted at [email protected]. Its my first time using this site so I dont know he rules yet. Sorry.

Your intro seems to be ok to me, I think it was hidden waiting to be reactivated.
It is well worth writing your entry, if you stick to guidelines then it shouldn't cause any problems.
If you get any more problems feel free to ask me direct at my user space (click on my name at the top of this post) and I'll help you out.
Welcome to h2g2!

Don't worry about not knowing the rules - you'll soon get the hang of them. It's not easy to plough through the House Rules and take them in right away. I doubt there's anyone who really knows what all of them are (apart from maybe the staff and the Moderators), although most of the time they come under common sense. It is possible that putting your e-mail address into your introduction caused some concern, as the BBC are very keen to avoid people becoming targets for spam, and a site like this would be an obvious target for people harvesting e-mails (although there are, I believe, measures in place to stop automatic spidering from occurring).
I might be wrong though - it's happened before, and I'm sure it will happen again, but hey, I'm hardly unique in that!!
