h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I've been thinking of writing some h2g2 Entries on a few of my favourite bands who might not be so well known, that is;

Dresden Dolls

It is strange, but I do NOT like being called "nosy" when out of the blue, you appear on my thread.

I unsubscribe You, once, twice, thrice, but you always reappear.

I shall unsubscribe again, and this time, if I see the unpleasant word "nosy" again, will report you to the powers that be for harassment.

That is the joy of this website. If you do not like me do not bother with me. That is just fine. But to harass me with these silly, childish words really does waste my precious time, and I am sure yours.

Stay with what you know and like. Don't try and upset and bother others.

Ahhh I see now...it's a misunderstanding about the little tag Matt has on his journal. "Nosy aren't you, _Name of reader_".

Also Ran, it's just a little joke - every reader sees their own name at the top. Matt isn't calling you nosy!

Also, it's our MATT.. he's added extra to his name. Also Ran might not have recognised a friend

AlsoRan - the reason Matt's journals appear in your space is because he's on your friends list. If you take him off, you'll never have to read about his weird ideas of entertainment again.

Honestly - some of us think he should be against the rules.

It is interesting to read the names of all those who have sprung to his defence.

Time is too precious to waste it unsubscibing to someone with whom I really do not have anything in common. In any case he appears to have quite enough friends .

I shall now go and unsubscribe to this posting and remove him from my list of friends. I would add that a few days ago I checked to see if he was on my list. He was not. However I was on his. I hope that he will remove me fron his and not try to bait someone who has never done him any harm and certainly who does not wish to do him any harm.

Christine, I can see why you're upset, but Matt didn't mean anything by it. It was a joke and was not targetted at you.

Geesh, the world is going mad.

I have to admit, I first jumped upon seeing it, too, then I realized it was a message that is displayed to all with the name changing depending upon who reads it. Matt's got (or, last time I checked, haD) a similar message on his page.

Trust me when I say insulting people isn't Matt's style. =)

However, life's too short for silly disagreements like this.

To anyone in general, it's always a better idea to ask what is meant by a thing than to assume it was meant to offend.
