Hi ITIWBS thanks for that! I'll read that when I have some time.
Can't remember dreams very well ... had some dream 'themes' recently, such as going back to university, losing my home, getting a patch of land on which to start a new garden ... I'll try and note the themes that pop up frequently in my dreams.

Locations that come up frewuently in my dreams are places that I've made successful rock collecting trips, though in strangely altered and exsgerated form.
On one site like that, for example, there was an ancient, early proterozoic sea mount, which has frequently come up in my dreams actively erupting, spitting molten globs, though the site hasn't been volcanically active since the proterozoic

I want a Door in the Wall dream tonight, please.
And maybe some weird plants. Imagine if you take a cutting from a dream plant, in a dream, and the next day it's there growing in the garden.
Like the Coleridge poem ... erm ... let me check ..
“If a man could pass through Paradise in a dream, and have a flower presented to him as a pledge that his soul had really been there, and if he found that flower in his hand when he awoke - Aye! and what then?”
Coleridge said that. Damn. Wish I'd said it.
Interesting. Locations in dreams. I'm going to try to remember locations.
Haven't had many dreams of significance recently. There was a dream about four turquoise squares moving around on a white canvas, which had no significance whatsover, but they were very fine squares, I liked them. They were kind of shimmering, the turquoise was catching the light. I really did like my squares, I felt I could tell them things, as far as anyone can converse with a turquoise dream square.

Holy lit up shapes, these are lovely, ITI.
Strange attractors!!!
I just remembered something... these remind me of strange attractors. I heard the phrase once, didn't know what it meant, put it into Google images and for at least three years I could think of nothing else but strange attractor patterns, I even wanted strange attractor wallpaper, heheh, even though I'm not a physicist, so I don't understand them.
ooops, off topic, sorry. Erm ... well I'm going to request a Strange Attractor dream. Goodnight world. Oh wait, it's lunchtime. Later ....

Jeez, I haven't had a strange attractor dream yet! But I've had dreams featuring some very weird and abstract things ...
Anyways thanks for those marine Platyhelminthes shots ITIWBS! They are amazing and gorgeous. What a world we live in!
I dream about plants a lot. My dream plants are quite beautiful and weird ... won't mind in the slightest if I could bring some of them into the real world!
Dream themes that pop up in many of my dreams:
I join a fancy gym, then when I go to train, I find that:
- The gym doesn't have 'matched' plates, so I can't find a pair of equally sized and weighted plates to place on both ends of the bar;
- The gym doesn't have enough weight for me to use;
- The bars don't fit onto the squat rack - they're typically too short;
- There isn't a particular rack or piece of equipment I want to use, such as a bench press bench.
In the dreams I fix these problems in funny ways, for instance somehow stacking books and magazines onto the end of the barbell, or improvising some kind of object as a rack.
Another interesting dream theme is the Madagascar/Soutpansberg Combo. The Soutpansberg is a mountain range north of where I live that is very rich in plant diversity; Madagascar is an island to the east of Africa that is very rich in overall biodiversity. In my dreams the two combine into a single 'mountain island' to the north of my home. In my dreams I often want to go there but there are always difficulties. The dream mountain island for instance has a big sort of hotel on top; the hotel is also like a casino, so it's noisy, there are lots of people ... I don't want to go to it, I want to go to the wild lands outside it. But in the dreams it is often difficult so I'm frustrated by being stuck in this hotel thing while I want to explore the natural beauty of the surroundings! But in some dreams I manage to get out and to explore, although it's always for too short a period of time. And I often find amazing plants and natural scenes on these explorations of the dream Madagascar/Soutpansberg.
There's a strange kind of dream geography that tends to be consistent in my dream world. This dream Madagascar/Soutpansberg is always a huge mountain-island in the far north, but closer to town there are some other regions. There are some low hills to the east of the town to which I sometimes hike, but which I often in my dreams *want* to hike to and to climb but then there's something that prevents me. There are also mountains to the southeast of town, there's a particular mountain which is not very high but which 'features' a beautiful forest and some ravines and some great views. But somehow there's also a kind of settlement on top of this mountain, which I want to avoid in the dream because it's like the hotel/casino on the Madagascar/Soutpansberg. I often tend to stray into this human region and then have trouble getting out into the wilds again.
This is another theme in my dreams: wanting to explore wild countryside but being unable to get to it.
Further to the east of my home town there are some heavily forested regions, with wonderful views, a lake and waterfall going down a beautiful cliff into a gorge; this is a very beautiful spot I often want to view and visit in my dreams.
There are also mountains going towards the dream version of Potgietersrus (now Mokopane).
There's a particular dream nature reserve close to dream-Mokopane, which I sometimes visit; there's a wonderful expansive lake and swamp/marsh region in the dream world.
Close to dream-Mokopane there's another interesting place, a nature reserve where there's a deep forested ravine going suddenly down from amidst level land so that you sort of stumble upon it, which is a very pleasant surprise effect; in some dreams there's a sort of zoo in the ravine as well as a sort of railway going through it and you can ride on a small train to view it.
There's also the dream version of the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve. The dream reserve has some straight cliffs on its eastern side, and I often want to go climb up them to see if I can find strange small succulents growing on them.
I rarely go further than that, but there's one place I end up going to a lot ... the dream-southern Drakensberg, there's a mountain pass, a specific place where there are wonderful scenic views and weird succulent plants right next to the road.
Oh ... I forgot, in the dream version of the Orange Free State, there's a particular place also not far from the road going south, where there's a particular, steep hill that I often want to climb whenever we happen to pass by.
There are other interesting dream geographic features ... will try to remember them ...

Fascinating Willem!
So, the curious hotel/casino place was a real intrusion into the natural world of your dream .. that's interesting eh? Does this relate to your real life in any way?
All very interesting.
I've had a bunch of healing dreams, woken up feeling like my head has been through an extra fast spin cycle of a washing machine, heheh, but afterwards my brain has felt somehow cleared of debris, cleaned out, all I have to do now is try to keep it that way and air it in the spring breeze. .
Last night's dream involved a room full of peculiar ladies with babies who seemed to be ancestors, an FBI helicopter which was distinctively cream and maroon coloured, hovering over my childhood home ... not that I'm paranoid or anything. I got the meaning of all these things, except for the cream and maroon colours ...
I wonder what cream and maroon means?

The Great attractor provides a gravitational anchor for the Virgo Cluster, the association of galaxies the Milky Way belongs to.
Among other things it includes masses of dark matter greater than that of all of the galaxies of the Virgo Cluster combined.

The Screaming Skull is another object of the same class.

Possibly, Arthur C. Clarke's aliens from "2001, A Space Odessey" and its sequels originate in such an object.

The Great Attractor, The Zone of Avoidance, The Screaming Skull.
Well, if I was someone else entirely, like famous, or even a writer, I'd just have to write a scifi novel about these. .
Space Odyssey. What is it about the ending of Space Odyssey? Some say that it's dreamlike with the surreal images that tell you nothing yet everything.
If I had a dream that was like the ending of Space Odyssey, I'd go to the seaside to relax and eat chips and icecream, perhaps write a couple of postcards to imaginary friends c/o the Zone of Avoidance.
No dreams to report, can't remember any .. been sleeping so deeply I wake up all goopy and gloopy and be quite nice to people all day.

Hi folks! Interesting stuff happening here. I've actually been dreaming a lot recently ... but I've been so busy I haven't had time yet to write them down! I'll see what I can do tomorrow ...

OK last night I had a whopper of a dream. Lots of things happened that I can't remember ... then at a point I was standing on the roof of a tall building at the edge of a city. Looking out over the landscape, I saw a parade of huge animals. There were mammoths and also paraceratheriums, giant prehistoric rhinos. I was intrigued to see that indeed some of the mammoths were larger than the paraceratheriums ... this is based on recent finds of ultra-huge mammoths (in real life). In the dream, there then after these huge mammals came some human giants towards the city. First I wasn't concerned because the building we were standing on was much higher than the giants ... then in the distance I saw a giant much larger than the building! Then I started getting scared. The rest of the dream was a lot of running and trying to hide from the giants, who were grabbing all humans they could find. I was leaping and clambering over skyscrapers as the giants invaded the city. I was fairly successful at hiding. There was a girl with a black 'catwoman' style suit which helped her to hide at night. Anyways the giants did eventually catch me and took me (and lots of other people) to their stone city. Can't remember what they did with us next, though ...
