Try St John's Wort!
Available from whole food shops, and far better than prozac with none of the side effects, used it last year when suffering from an un-defined deppression and possibly Seasonal Affected Disorder (SAD).
Also changed lots od routines and redecorated with brighter/cheerful collours. Have been much better since!

A herb that is a well-known anti-depressiva is rose of Sharon (I hope that's the right word, I looked it up, the German term is Johanniskraut) you can get juice and tablets in whole food shops and there are no side effects.
Another thing that helps to cheer you up when you're feeling low is putting etheric grapefruit oil in such an aroma lamp.

Just be careful with St John's Wort, it can interfere with the contraceptive pill! Also if you are not quite as depressed as you thought you were, or you get better, it can make you manic. So be careful.
