Jazz

What does ACE signify? And why do you put it in your title?

Demon Drawer

Hi Jazz, I'll answer that ACE stands for Assitant Community Editors. We're humble researchers like yourself who volunteered to meet and greet new comers to the guide to show you the ropes so to speak. Some of us add ACE to our title some don't but we all have an Orange Badge on our page so you know you've found one.

The reason some of us but it in our name is so that anyone who is looking in the who's online window can easily identify an ACE who's online and ask a question and get a reasonably quick response. Hope that clears things up a little.

ACE signifies Assistant Community editor... the Aces help Peta, the community editor (visit her at http://www.h2g2.com/U24 ) meet & greet new users, and generally wander round and attempt to be helpful. The ACEs have a homepage here: http://www.h2g2.com/A214796
Some of us who are ACEs put it in our titles to show everyone else that we are, so's if you have any questions its immediately obvious that we'll answer or whatever.
Hope this helpssmiley - smiley

Hatman ACE

Of course we don't all get a shiny orange badge on our page....
*sniff*, not those who are Sub Editors too.

Where is my orange badge!?!?!?!?!

Right damnit, I'm starting a movement right here, right now!
It's the ATSOBOSHP!
Or Allow Two Sorts Of Badges On Someone's Home Page!

Who's with me?!

J'au-æmne

They should design a new badge, half ace half subbie.

A combined Badge Yeah that could work! A sub-ACE perhaps.

But I have continued with my ATSOBOSHP campaign and created a page on H2G2, go here now!
