Unfortunately, the Daq boards and 1Xtra are slightly different as they're messageboards on the DNA platform rather than full sites, so at the moment I'm not able to move you across. However, we'll keep this conversation open so if I'm able to find a way we'll see what can be done.

how about if you close this account and i re register?

We don't really close accounts, but if you create a new account on h2g2, we'll be able to paste a link to it from your old one as a redirect.

well that be an auto rediredt or will peeps have to click a link?

cos my mates are not that great with links!

Or, to be a little more helpful, I'm afraid it'll have to be a link. However, I had a conversation earlier that hinted that we might be able to do soemthing a little better for you and people from Get Writing. It's up to you whether you create a new h2g2 account or sit it out until we know more though...

(and thanks for being so patient with me by the way - this was all kind of sprung on us just as much as it was you)

Hi. Am I right in assuming that when GW closes it's doors on me I will still be able to sign on to H2G2 or do I have to do anything else to secure my space here?

I have recently written a couple of entries here, one , a poem , made the front page of the Underguide and two, a short story, had very useful feedback (more than it got on GW)

Do I just sit tight where I am and log into H2G2 after the 24th and continue here?

I would like to make this my base even though I have joined one of the other sites set up for GW refugees.

Could you please contact Carole Hudson and leave her a message that Get Writing is being closed? She is away on vacation (I haven't heard from her in a while), and her space is in Get Writing. Send her a note that she could have her space moved to h2g2, ...if you're willing to help.

If you can do this, then I say Thank You!. If not, then I will mail the link of this thread to her.

Is this happening on h2g2 as well Logicus? As far as I can see you're not premoderated on here, so this might be a blanket application to GW to prevent flooding in the last days.
