The Get Writing Site has now closed - the final day was yesterday.
Get Writing has been moved to pre-moderated moderation mode, so no new postings appear on the site. Any postings made to Get Writing journals will now will be failed.
This is so that posters to the Get Writing site, who don't realise that the closure has taken place, can be sent an email informing them that the site has been closed.

I'm duller than a bread-knife; I am on H2G2, on conversation at Lil's Atelier, and it seems like the whole universe is pre-moderated. I don't want you to try to explain why; by the time you do it'll probably have lifted like a cloud (sulfurous)? Maybe because GW is "linked"....okay, calm now.
Mystified.

I just posted to Joe from hootoo to GW, it's in pre mod, i understand why. but I also posted to Nicky from hootoo to hootoo and it has turned up in her gw pf unmoderated. Strange days.

Hi,
Having moved from GW I was of the opinion that all of my important work on site had been deleted both on review and in journal, yet yesterday it was all displayed on the right hand side of my space. It had just appeared, now I can not find it.
Where do I look for it and can I delete it, or print it off when I wish to do so.
Cheers H.

Hi, each,
Whil'st searching about on my page yesterday, quite a few of my entries that I had deleted on GW appeared on the right hand side of my space on h2g2, I presumed that they had gone forever but they are here.
Today I can not find them, anyone know how to find them again?
Cheers H.

"Take a look at < <./>MA934904?type=3</.> > it appears as if you have removed your works indeed. (no ordinary user can see this list anyway.)
If so, the [Removed] works from GetWriting are lost forever, entries from other sites will be restoreable.

Thanks TT.
In fact my stories deleted on GW actually appeared perfectly on my space yesterday of there own accord, today there is no signs of them at all.
At least, as you say only I can access them, interesting to see if they do come back again though.
Cheers H.

Keith Miller yes that Keith Miller Posted Apr 9, 2005
I have no stories, as i joined GW 2 weeks before they closed. I was advised to come over here, which seemed like a good idea at the time Still does. Only thing is I cant make an entry in my journal as it goes to a GW page and if I leave a message it says this is being premoderated. Am just realising why us Aussies never took too nuclear bombs...wheres the button? comes to mind... Is there someway I can fix this? Or you? Or even them?

The following link is supposed to transfer your 1xtra account to h2g2. This is a single move, if you have used it once, it will no longer work. (real involved)

Hi Andmymare, you reviewed my story on Morewriting
Now to business: I cannot imagaine why my posts would all of a sudden be pre-mod unless it is connected to the Getwriting site?
Just slightly puzzled.

Hopefuly most of you will have noticed the postings some of our volunteers made yesterday to remind people that the entire site was on premoderation due to industrial action.
In case anyone here hasn't already done so, it pays to subscribe to the <./>Announcements</.> page. Just click the link 'Click here to be notified of new Conversations about this Guide Entry' at the bottom of the page.

well aware of the premoderation just it generated a flurry of cross pollinated posts being removed that is posts made to a blue skin from a purple skin being removed ,this i thought was strange it may have something to do with the sudden conversion of all my posts from the goo to the purple last november which meant all the threads where converted at the same time.
Also a couple of posts that i did not make where attributed to me on checking i find they where the artcle i was replying to.for ome
and ww2 for the other.

I believe for this kind of moderation purpose, it's the site the account belongs to that counts, not the site being posted to, which might explain what was happening there.
Key: Complain about this post
