what is the meaning of life?
Mal Posted Jan 4, 2004
The question *isn't* unasked, in life nor series.

I accept full responsibility for the lowering of quality. I am a poster of no consequence.

Yeah. They trust us enough that they don't moderate much unless it's yikesd.

Or... not?
It's been moderated. Did someone yikes it?

Mal Posted Jan 6, 2004
I didn't. Did you? Must've been a wandering moderator, then. It was just an experiment into what happens if you leave stuff like that lying around. Hmm. Is there a limit to how much you can be moderated before you're kicked off? Cos I've been modded twice now.

Probably a wandering moderator.
I think it's five times.
*Checks House Rules*
"Following an extensive and successful pilot project, BBC Editorial Policy made the decision to allow h2g2 to switch from a system of post-moderation to reactive moderation. Reactive moderation means that the Moderators do not read all of the content on h2g2. Instead we rely on the Community to alert us to any content that breaks the House Rules via the complaints system. The Moderators read the complaints and will act accordingly."
Possibly a wandering zealot? An automatic search for email addresses?
I don't know.

Won't you get an email telling you why?
what is the meaning of life?
bob1127 Posted Jan 7, 2004
I don't belive this life has a purpose. I belive that this world is just a version of Purgatory, and that we are waiting here to be forgiven of our past sins. I mean if you think about it it makes sense, dosen't it? The worse your sins the longer you stay here. If your sins were minor, then you leave at a young age. The reason we wouldn't remember our past lives is so tht some higher power can judge our souls for what they are not how they were influenced by past experiences and uncontrollable situations.

Ok i don't know about any one else but i like that theory about as much asi like being hit by a bus.i'd throw it right in the nogo basket along with the theory of life being an accident. On another note if u say that this is purgatory and that we are waiting to be forgiven then still our life has meaning that of searching for forgivness. Also if this is purgatory i don't think it would be possible to to have as good and long life as some people that i know have had.

My grandma lived to 103. Are you saying that that's because she sinned and sinned and sinned?
Might need to re- examine that theory.

i agree just because some one lives a long life doesn't mean that they where horrible sinners in a past life it just means that they took care of themselves andf probably got a little lucky at times.
