Time to hibernate

It's raining. For quite some time already. Then again, I don't go out much, so I don't really care.
Yesterday I had to walk a whole half a kilometre. I was dead tired and breathless on half the way. I am not even sure if it's a health condition or medication condition. I don't really care either.
That's in fact the problem - I don't care. I just sit here, doing nothing (that is, when I feel quilty enough to do some w*rk) or sleep. Usually I sleep 12 hours a day. I could do much more. I wish I could hibernate.
I care enough for feeling guilty for not caring.
Hibernation seems like an answer. And besides, by March all the -people have reached to their verdicts and I may just wake up for a moment to see if it's worth of waking up. I'd rather prefer them to run all those tests while I'm still sleeping.
I'll take a nap now.

This may sound trite, Hati, but I know what you mean. I'm further South and it's not seriously dark here yet, but I am consistently tired and haven't done any housework really for weeks. It is a vicious circle - the state of the house makes me depressed and tired, and I am less and less able to do anything about it. Then, when I haven't done anything, I ask myself "why bother?"
Do go and get a check up though - the word "depressed" above made me wonder if it's not an onset of depression you have. This is now recognised in Estonia, too, surely, and you should be able to get treatment.

Aye, I have been treated for depression for years already. Right now I am in stage of getting off from one meds to see if there's something else I could use. I am trapped in couple different nasty diagnoses and what cures one makes the other worse.
The most annoying this is that fatigue, weakness. Going to buy food from a supermarket around the corner is so much trouble.

That shortness of breath might - just might, mind you - be a symptom of potassium deficiency. Definitely worth having your potassium levels checked as potassium is an electrolyte vital for the heart to function properly (found this out when I was diagnosed with it myself).
Or you could try self-medicating yourself by eating more of the foods that are high in potassium content, such as avocados, pineapple, ...

I think it's mostly side effects of prednisone. I hade to use it for more than half a year and it surely has an arm long list of side effects. There's quite some side effects I don't have, so I may even survive.
By now I have been awake for almost 2 hours. I may have another nap now, urgent things got done.

A cousin of my husband found that she reacted very positively to light treatment. That should be quite easy to do and worth a try.

It is somewhat helpful indeed, I have a lamp for that, Hapi-Lite (or was it Happy-Lite).
But it's not enough.
I put high hopes on getting over this prednisone thingy. Maybe that'll give me some strength back. One thing is not to want to do anything, but not being able to makes it feel only worse.

I think I heard that a side effect of steroids (prednisone) might be a light euphoria. So dropping the steroids would then give some sort of depression. Go see your doctor, and ask if that's true.
I really hope you get this sorted, it's such hard work to be tired...

Today I was without elektrickety for most of the day. I ended up peeling potatoes in the candlelight and wondering how people lived .. er... long time ago. At least I don't need electrickety for cooking.
Now I'll do some experiments with St. John's wort and vitamines.
The weather people talk about long and cold winter (-35C) with a lot of snow. Probably they make their forecasts based on my woodshed, not on my hairloss. My hair suggests that there will be nice and hot winter, no hair needed.

.. the weather forecast here has indeed announced a real cold winter .. they're reason is that the Estonians are gathering firewood like never before so it will definitely be a cold winter ..
.. I should not travel south in these months .. before you know it someone notes that even the hippos are flying south now .. and forecasts will be down to -40 ..

"When hippos fly southward it is time to crank up your radiator" as we have said here in the far north since king harold first locked up his zoo for the winter

for the time being the hippos fly east and west only
in total state of confusion, no sense of direction whatsoever

Update &:
It can get worse.
It can get much much worse.
I have picked up a homeless, yet not weak and meek virus. Apparently it has something to do with Norwalk (Ohio).
Oddly enough this... erm.. quite powerful treatment didn't have much effect on my swollen feet.

You might want to try foot baths for the swollen feets.
I found that a mixture of 1½dl apple cider vinegar and 4 litres of hot water had a de-swelling effect on my ankles.
