or - You're in the Wrong Bloody Job.
We've just been told that a close colleague of ours (he shares our bank of four desks) has been taken from Court to Hospital with a heart attack.
He's 31. With two kids who are under the age of ten. But apparently stress levels in this place are acceptable and normal.
Very, very angry and very, very scared for his friend and his family.

I'd say the latter was right mate.
Mind you, I've always thought that you have your time to go, and you won't go a minute too soon or a minute too late, no matter what happens to you.
I met a guy in Thailand with the most horrendous scar across his throat - I thought that he'd rather a close encounter with a mugger, but didn't want to ask. Turns out that he was riding his motorbike a *little* inebriated one night and ended up having one mother of an accident which involved his head very nearly becoming severed from his neck. In fact he had to grasp his throat to hold his head on and to prevent his life blood from spilling out.
He really thought his number was up - the paramedics told him that they've never seen someone survive that kind of accident before.
Moral of that story being that when it's your time, it's your time.
Hmm, just realised that probably was not the most comforting thing I could have written.

My comiserations...
I would say that being stress-free is only a state of mind. Anyone who listens to as much blues as you do can't possibly be too tense.

Ohh- apart from the fact that at least you're reasonably near the hostpital where the best specialists in the country are based...

Touchwood, we have a very good record in Essex full stop. Wayne's young, he's not fat, doesn't smoke. He should be fine.

It's not vital but I'd just might want someone to talk to, is all. If you are not and I want to chat, I'll text you, if thats ok?
I think you are thinking of Fraser as trap two. Wayne is the quiet one that I probably never spoke about much...

Maybe I wasn't paying attention at the right times. Yeah, texting is ok - back on old number, but with piece of cack phone.

I hope your friend is ok, Blues
I take nothing at all for granted now, last year we buried my son's girlfriend {she would have been 20 this month} and - my next birthday - I'll be the age DNA was when he had his heart attack.
Sorry not a comforting thought but I live each day and I will have no regrets. When I die, I'll be your guardian
Whether you die at 19, 31, 49 or 101, we are all going to die. Unless you're Michael Jackson, of course.
Accept it, it's the greatest trip, they save the best till last.

You are right of course.
The good news is that I have just this instant had a text from a colleague who has spoken to Wayne who is already at home and recovering, so I guess somebody was looking after him after all.
