Rather as Mr Ellison did when he wrote is eco-fable story in which the world ended up perfect. The last sentence of the story was ;

Exceedingly. No air conditioning. Lots of windows. That only open three inches, at the bottom. I'm in a bloody greenhouse 
and I ripped my lightweight trousers last night, so I'm wearing thick army dress trousers....
