Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~ Started conversation Dec 15, 2003
hi
i have just been accepted as a member of the clan of thingites and appointed "sole protector of the one master key to the chastity belts of all female thingites (you know: one key to rule them all, one key to bind them and all that?)"
i'm so proud

Let me see if I have this straight, Pierce.....
You protect soles? So if I sit down for a nice meal of sole almondine, you'll pop up and challange me to a duel?
I'll have to do it in secret, I guess.
I have no idea what Thingites are, but that's your business.

nice sodit? talk about your oxymorons!
Congrats Pierce. Welcome to the club... though I don't know of any need for THAT type of key bearer..

be that as it may, pauly, i still consider my title being very honourable - if only honorary
you are right about the "happy sodit" though. sounded wrong from the moment i first said it
i don't think "happy monday" sounds better though. rare? nah, sounds more like science fiction to me
ps: i'm not exactly sure how many of the female thingites wear chastity belts. but i can't wait to find out for myself

Monday has mostly downbeat connotations. There's Blue Monday, Monday-morning quarterbacks, don't buy a car made on a Monday or Friday.
Even Mother Goose: Solomon Grundy was born on Monday, and look what a bad end *he* came to!
When Robinson Crusoe was looking for other people on his island, did he find Monday? No! He found Friday! There are restaurant chains named after days of the week, like Ruby Tuesday or Thank God It's Friday. No Mondays.
I'm glad we had this chat. I feel much better.

I always wondered what TJ stood for.
In the late 1960s, there was a TV show called "Laugh-In," which featured a black comedian who was always saying, "Here come de judge!"
Does TJ stand for The Judge?
