It's hard enough writing tests when you have a system to play with. When you don't it's near impossible, but doable if you get support from one who uses the system.
Which I have very little of.
So I am in a pinch.
I hate it.

Write very difficult ones they have no chance if completing. That'll teach them

No, still puts me in the pinch to finish the reports before I go on holiday...
I got some info now, so I guess I have to work all evening to complete the test case.
