I can't find the exact quote, but the universality of Fiddler has often been referred to using a lady's comment that the show, despite being written by Americans about Jews in Russia is "so Japanese!" It deals with themes and concerns which seem to run deep in every culture - family, tradition, community, belonging, change...

I also have to mention that of course there is a 20% ticket discount via me, so hurry, before they are all gone!

My knowledge of Fiddler on the Roof does not go much beyond the scene in Twin Peaks with Pete Martell talking to the Japanese man (who is actually his "dead" wife, Catherine, in disguise!)

"Do you like musicals?" "No!" "Not even Fiddler on the Roof? It makes me cry like a baby."

Break a leg, Milla smiley - ok

I never know what's coming up until just before auditions... and then I never know if I am in or not, until they say so.

Sorry, can't make it this weekend either - got a very bad cold that appears to be extremely contagious and unusually long-lasting. Caught it from a colleague who started coughing last week, and she's *still* coughing.

It was lovely! Even though a scene was much shortened from dress rehearsal to premiere, and one actor missed an entrysmiley - yikes, the cast did great, and I don't think the audience missed anything.

Exhausted at work today, but happy.

There are shows in October too: 20, 21, 22 and 23!

Stealth "Jack" Azathoth

I always managed to get out of plays at primary school until the final year, when I wasn't given a choice.

I was cast as the Cheshire Cat after reading one line.

I really enjoyed bringing my vision of The Cheshire Cat to life.

I'd love to have been there applaud, but instead I must simply applaud the enthusiasm and pleasure you must get from bravely taking to stage from here.

If you see what I mean. smiley - erm
