h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'm Pete and I'm a singer and drummer. I'm a HUGE Genesis fan and I'm heavily into Prog' Rock. I do also like lots of other styles of music including jazz, classical, reggae, rock, metal. In fact if you can name it I probably like it.

I'd like to join this group so that I can chat with other musicians

OKay, this might sound a bit dumb, but how do I put the guild banner on my space and keep my smileys on there. I've looked at the GuideML sections and I can't seem to find it.

First you need to convert your space to Guide ML (click on the 'Edit Page' link, select Guide ML and 'Change Style' then 'Update Introduction')

To get smileys, you use the <SMILEY> tag. For example <SMILEY TYPE="biggrin"/> will give you the smiley.

There's a full list of smileys at A155909 if you need to look up the name of any that you want to use.

Actually, I do have another question for you. If I was going to write a guide entry about Genesis, do I just got the "add a entry to the guide" link and add my entry, or is there a place on the actual Musicians Guild page where I can add it. Sorry for all the quiestions, I'm still a bit new and this place is so HUGE it's quite hard to find your way round

To add an Entry you just click the 'Add Entry' link. When you've done that, drop me a note here letting me know the A1234567 number of the Entry and I'll add it to the Guild's list of musical entries (A425161).

If, when the Entry's finished and it meets the Writing-Guidelines (A53209), you can submit it to Peer Review (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/PeerReview) for inclusion in the Edited Guide - if you're interested, you'll find details of the editing process here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/SubEditors-Process
