Friar

I have just read a fantastic article.
Cheers! to the author and editor.
Perhaps you should send a line to the poor girl that wrote the Buffy entry.
I'm a yank and get to see unedited Angel regularly, but it is shown on a syndicated network (the WB) that often gets bumped if there's any sports to program. Still I must admit that, at least in Chicago, they show Angel every week, even if they reschedule to Saturday afternoon.
The Buffy graduation episodes were delayed a few months in American because some fool high school kids killed a dozen of their classmates while wearing dark trenchcoats, coincidentally there is a throw away line in the Buffy show about "shooting up your school in black coats" and the network (and Joss Wendon too) thought it would be in poor taste to show that episode too close to the real tragedy.

Yeah, we heard all about the fuss back here.
I suppose it was fair enough, although as I understand it, they replaced Earshot with Bad Girls, right? Not really much of an improvement smiley - winkeye And, if I'm not much mistaken, they cut some bits right out of Graduation Day (including Xander celebrating the school being destroyed, something I would've enjoyed seeing...).
Oh well, at least they were shown. The evil sadists over at Channel 4 (the terrestrial channel showing Angel here) are just completely doing away with three episodes! Not to mention slicing the other episodes to bits... Pathetic really.
*sighs*
Anyway, thank you. That's really lovely to hear smiley - smiley

The late-night uncut "Angel" double-bills on UK Channel 4 are rather wonderful; almost good enough to make me forgive their earlier aberration...

However, I hear a rumour that the new series of Angel has an even more frightening, shocking, stomach-turning recurring plotline... A Karaoke bar! Apparently he starts the series with a song... Now *that* will have people hiding behind the sofa! smiley - bat

Not only that, I've heard it's a Barry Manilow song!
*shudders*
Must agree though, the uncut episodes were just as wonderful as I remembered- C4 almost made up for the early mess up. Almost.
Oh well, new season starts on Sky soon. I just can't wait smiley - smiley Although I'm a little worried about Gunn as a regular. It's destroying somewhat my C/W 'shipper hopes smiley - sadface
