Potentials for the meetup!
NexusSeven Posted Nov 29, 2000
Well, as I told GB, I reckon I managed to pass the RL 'Peer Review', so I guess I'm owed a bit of editing or something...
Why, whatever did you think it meant?

Ho hum...
Mina, the bullet-proof glass isn't because of you, it's because of the invisible gunman behind you who's out to get me.

I would welcome views on the initial report on the Xmas mingle

I should stress it is not finished and I am about to do a list of attendees.

It's looking good, but the sentances which stop abruptly are a bit off-putting - those are the bits you're going to change, aren't they?
Could we collect together the absolute best photos of the meet and have them in the Entry? (thumbnails, of course, linked to the full-sized versions) That would be good because I think a lot of Researchers' pages get taken down after a while when they run out of webspace and for various other reasons, so having a few on h2g2 itself would be good for new Researchers in the future who want to decide whether or not to risk coming to a meetup.

..The main question is, do we edit out The Corner?
Is that kind of activity likely to put off more shy researchers, or attract them ?

Well, if 'slightly carried away' doesn't win 'Diplomatic Understatement of the Year', then I don't know what will!

What gunman behind me?
I'm confused...
Abi, I liked the entry, I read it last night and liked it. I'm pleased there aren't too many details...

All the reports and photos I think can only be good for H2G2!
From someone who didn't go, it makes me wish that I could have. I'm sure it has the same effect on everyone else who didn't make it.
