~ding dong~
Phillipa, Mari-rae's useful niece, is at the door with a Welcome Basket overflowing with goodies. There are chocolates, assorted teas, cookies, bath salts, coupons for local businesses, and a note that says WELCOME in shaky, but legible calligraphy.*
Hello, Mina! Oh my! What a big dog! What kind of dog is he?

Hello Phillipa, thanks for this basket, it's wonderful!
I appreciate you coming over, do have some herbal tea, it's totally home grown.
Buster is a sort of wild fox really. A friend found him in Egypt. He had been rejected by his mother due to his colour (such a lovely black, don't you think?). So my friend hand-reared him and brought him back for me.

A fox? Really? Yes, he is very beautiful. He's shy, isn't he? All right, I'd like some herbal tea. Do you have a mix that will give me energy? My Auntie keeps me hopping.

For energy?
You could try some of this Basil tea, it's a very stimulating and refreshing drink after a hard day.
Take this bag of Chamomile home with you and add it to a hot bath. That's very good for fatigue if you've been running all over the village for your aunt.
Dear old Buster, he's rather more wolf like than fox like really, but he's very gentle.

*Phillipa draws her feet under the chair and watches the "dog" nervously. Sips basil tea.*
This is very good. Thank you for the chamomile. It has a nice scent, doesn't it? Auntie lets me live above the tea shoppe. She invited me after - well, *twisting a plain ring on her left hand*, well, after Mark.
*Swallows tea again, blinking.*

Oh, I'm sorry m'dear.
Have some fruit cake, that's homemade too.
Would you like to talk about it?
Kettlebastin
mari-rae(tee reads: (entangled in cardboard boxes, please send tape...) Posted Aug 20, 2000
Thank you.
I haven't talked about it to anyone. You seem nice. My Auntie says I must've done something. Mark is my husband. He went out to buy a paper and some cigars, and he hasn't come back yet. That was six years ago. ~sniff~

Your auntie seems a trifle harsh.
Maybe he couldn't decide which paper to get, and is stuck in the newsagents in a never-ending cycle of indecision as everyday new papers come in.
Have you actually looked for him?

Goodday,
You asked me to come by with this problem I have with the herbs trying to strangle me. SO I hope you have a solution caus when I walked threw your garden, I was atacked on the spot.
BTW don't know if we're properly introduced yet my name's Arutha, I'm kinda crazy and also your partner as we both work in the pub

Hello Arutha, I'm glad to be properly introduced, I can't understand my lovely garden attacking you.
Really the problem I was going to try to help you with was your general air of being completely boo-loop. But you seem to be fully aware of being totally bonkers, so maybe we should just leave you as the Goddess intended.
Would you like some tea? I look forward to working with you in the pub, it will be nice to have a friend at work.

I'd love a cup of tea.
Just wandering if you've heard anything about when we odda start, I'm dying to get behind that bar.
Do you have any barexp's yet????
Kettlebastin
I'm not really here Posted Aug 23, 2000

That's great Arutha, I'll probably need a bit of assistance. Dr.Goof Lithium has shown me how to make a couple of cocktails (inspired by and invented for me ~blushes~), but that's all.
Hello Galaxy Babe, what can I do for you?
This is Arutha, I met him in the Tea shoppe.

Oh, hello Arutha,
*offers a delicate hand
*Arutha kisses it
Mina, I just had a very important customer in my Beauty Shoppe!
You'll never guess who it was!!!
OK, here's a clue, He didn't need an appointment!

Have a chocolate, the chap at the library gave me this box. It's half empty, but if we put our minds to it, I'm sure it will be totally empty soon.
Chocolate, Arutha?
I'll put the kettle on in a minute.
Galaxy Babe, I guess that it must be God, afaik he is the only one you let in whenever he arrives.
What did you do with the naked man on the table? I hope you gave him time to get dressed and for his legs to start working before you pushed him out of the door??

*ROFL*
I think he has forgiven me....

This could turn into my favourite place...

Hello neighbour, may I come in?
The place is very nice - and so many books around! That's why I'm feeling so comfty here - it's the same at Rainbow Cottage, you know.
Oh, what a lovely dog - I love big dogs!
Mina, may I have some fresh Basil, please? I'm making an Amalfi salad and it tastes only good with fresh basil.

I'm not really here Posted Aug 24, 2000
I'm sure he will Babe.
What a nice compliment to say it could be your favourite place! Thank you.
I'm glad you are comfy here Kasia, I like people to be welcome.
Have you met Galaxy Babe? She is a great friend of mine. I'll leave you two to a cup of tea, while I go out and get the basil for you.
Won't be long.
