As opposed to all the previous answers this answer is correct
The previous answers were usually made of light/air etc. A hole is made of nothing but you only can see the absence of something not the hole itself.
But a Hallucination is made of nothing (as it does not exist) but you definately can see it. (this is not to be confused with a mirage which is the reflection of the sky in the sand caused by hot air and is therefore made of light and air particles).
So my answer is a Hallucination.
