Nutshells: Bohr?

Can't work out the other two names yet, but I'm guessing Schroedinger is the odd one out: all the others has laws named after them.

*laughs* good try... but you wouldn't say that if you knew the other 2 names... At least I'm not *aware* of any laws named after them... so... no.... that's not the reason...
You might need some of the others to come back... someone's *bound* to instantly recognise "nutshells"... as for "stars"... that's a bit of an obscure one... OK... let's try and think of another hint for it...
"Red shift"... according to a 3rd year physics MSci student... is a good hint.. so there..

Nope... Let's say "Observation of red shift"...
have to go for now, but I'll be back tomorrow... I wonder if you'll know the 5 names by then & will have started looking for the odd one out yet...

Don't worry too much, it was the kind of result we were hoping for...after all, the questions been plotted for quite a while..
I suppose another hint that might completely give one away..would be a telescope...a very nice telescope

Just the nuts to crack, so to speak...

So, to recap, we have:
Cats: Erwin Shroedinger
Stars: Edwin Hubble
Apples: Isaac Newton
Nutshells: Stephen Hawking
Peter Pan/Springs: Robert Hooke
It just remains to find the odd one out...
Famous Physicists...
The Researcher formally known as Dr St Justin Posted Oct 3, 2002
Of course, Hawking is the only one still alive.
Famous Physicists...
The Researcher formally known as Dr St Justin Posted Oct 3, 2002
But that's probably *far* too obvious...

Y'mean Peter Pan is ..dead?
Oh please don't tell Wendy. I have a date with her this weekend and I don't want her all bummed out with grief.
Actually I was thinking of several other far-too-obvious reasons why Hawking would be the odd one out but being alive wasn't my first choice. Glad to hear he's still ..uhm ..kicking or whatever. More power to him I say!

Edwin Hubble was the only one not to study the subject in which he subsequently found fame? He graduated in law - although Newton started with law, he switched to mathematics

Or........
Edwin Hubble is the odd one out because he is the only one who wasn't a fellow of the Royal Society.
Well, he's the only one whose name I can't find on the list.

It could be Hubble because all the other have scientific theories/formulae/laws named after them, whereas old Erwin's just got a telescope that don't work properly.
