If a peacock and a half, lay an egg and a half, in a day and a half. How many eggs can a peacock lay in three days?

A Peacock can't lay eggs at all (being Male) - a Peahen on the other hand taking the same figures: 3

But surely half a peacock couldn't lay an egg either (even if it was a peahen), what with it being dead and split in two. So, if we are to assume that half a peacock is capable of doing anything, then we surely have to accept that a full bodied peacock can do so to, which brings you back to the answer three. I don't believe this, just felt I'd say that, as I haven't been here in ages

Why 3?
If x peacocks lay x eggs in 1.5 days, how many will 1 peacock lay in 1.5 days? Answer 1. Now how many will 1 peacock lay in 3=1.5 x 2 days? Answer 2. As state above.

Wow, I can't believe this - right after I posted my answer, our w*rk server had a small crash... *curious to see which interpretation of the question Greebo will prefer*

I fear Galaxy Babe's unshakable knowledge of the functions of the sexes will prove her correct. If a pea-cock were to ever lay an egg, it would be his last. If the egg laying didn't kill him, the media attention would.

Remember that as a cat, Greebo's knowledge of birds may be limited to "things that you hunt". I think she was using the term peacock as a generic term for peafowl, as it is often used.

..but then again, who gives a flying fowl in the first place?
I reckon Greebo is getting really bored with this whole game.
The next question will probably be about mice followed by ones on whiskers, washing, licking your own arse and pukeing up fur balls.

Whoops! A Peahen would lay 2 not 3 - you are quite right....

*grin* Theoretically... (uh-oh, one of my theories...) ignoring the fact that a peacock is male, it can lay any number of eggs, so long as (a) the number is an integer and (b) it is not a negative number...
Make of that what you will!

I am sure Greebo is just going to ~grin~ at all these comments and give the point to me!
Actually I hope the answer is 4, so Clelba gets her first point.
Greebo, do you ~really~ lick your own a**e and cough up fur balls?
