I liked it! Didn't have any trouble getting through it, though I have no idea if it's thorough or informative. Just one question: what was objectionable about aristocrats in bullfights?

Why not compromise and say:

'it was not considered proper for the gentry to attend'..

I think that might cause more confusion, since gentry and aristocracy aren't the same thing

Gentile means non Jewish people.

In french, gentry translates as gens de la haute société.

Genteel in French is distingué.
