*WM gets busy tidying up the store. There's an awful lot of dust everywhere.

Then she cleans out the Infinite Capacity Refrigerator, tossing out the stale dated items.*

I've got to see if I can get a null entropy field installed in here.

JAR (happy to be back, but where's Ping?)

*in pops JAR*
G'morning everyone! Nice to see the Guide is back. How are you all?

Iris Cafe? Menu? Hmm... Breakfast-Coffee would be nice.. Something to REALLY open your eyes.. Possibly a caffeine, sugar, guano (or whatever they call it)-mix... or something... maybe..

I've lost Ping.

Dragonfly, since I'm the Muse of Needlework, I suggest a chocolate oatmeal lace cookie for the cafe. I'd also be happy to supply the cafe with carrot cake, if you like. You can find it here:

Ping... missing? oh, no. I'd better update the 24-Seven page.

*Puts a sign in the store window*

Missing: Soup Master
Name: Ping
Reward: Carrot Cake
If found, return to JAR

Dragonfly, a null entropy field keeps the things inside it in stasis. So food wouldn't spoil inside of it.

Did you ever read any of the Dune series by Frank Herbert? The concept is used in those books.

Dune? I actually finished "Dune" by Frank Herbert just this week.. Great book. Not that great a movie, though... I guess the null-entropy thingy is introduced later..

Welcome, Englander. I see you found your way here.

The Slerpee machine is over in aisle 3, next to the coffee machines. Please help yourself.

Is there anything else you might need on your quest?

Well, we always are in a great need of legobricks. Perticularly the ones we can use for building monuments (we were about to rebuild h2g2 from lego) and golden ones for our path to the Wizard. (the one of Oz)

Which aisle would that be???

There's a very small selection in aisle one near the pet food. The type of kits you might buy to amuse a child on a car/train/space yacht trip.

I don't stock those large buckets of bricks. I just don't have the room here. smiley - sadface

I'm very flattered that Dragonfly thinks that the 24-Seven is a good place to advertise the Blockheads. She loves this place. Bit I fear her enthusiasm overshadows the reality. She is by far my most frequent customer. When my threads come back from moderation, you'll see the evidence for yourself.

I'd be happy to put a Blockheads sign up on the 24-Seven page for you. Would you consider putting a blurb recommending that the Blockheads visit the 24-Seven for their provisions? You can use the graphic on the top of the page, as it's an official h2g2 blob.

I would very much apreciate to do so. But I cannot yet say when. I have had a look through the guide-articles. I was very happy making htmlpages with lots of links to my own pictures. And I somehow just don t warm up to the guide ml. And I have so many RL-things running, I don t think I will get around to writing a lot for h2g2 in the near future...

Do you need any beer? I do a homebrew at my "Ye olde Hoopoe" Hrngh. I don t know if that is still available, I meen the page.

Oops, is it that late? I have to go. Can I order by catalogue?

See you!

I'll try to break this to you gently, Dragonfly. smiley - winkeye

This is a ~convenience~ store, not We-B-Toys . Actually, Affy has a toy store set up somewhere around here. I do sell buckets, though. Feel free to play with the buckets and the legos to your hearts content.

*Shouts to Englander as he leaves*

I'd love to carry the homebrew here in the store. Get back to me when you things sorted out.
