I learnt to drive in a Mk2 Fiesta, and yes it was red. It was a pile of s**t but I loved it because it was my first car. And there is something which looks right about the Mk2. It's the best looking Mk of Fiesta (apart from the latest one which just makes me dribble). Whereas the Mk1 was ugly, and the Mk3 too rounded. The Mk2 was the epitomy of 80's cool... If only I had an XR2.... ahhhh....
