Clapped out old mini (no idea what year - it was an old UK S reg) - most of it was rustm but it was fantatic. My first car.
Couldn't do over 45mph
Had to hold the choke out with a clothes peg.
Could unlock the doors with absolutely any key ever made.
As cheap as chips to run.
A classic.

I think an S reg would be '78, if my M reg is '73.
A friend of mine has a cooper and it is probably the most fun car you could ever drive - sort of like a high powered go-cart
