C:/DOS
C:/DOS/RUN
RUN/DOS/RUN!!!

You can't crash DOS, it simply doesn't use enough memory/resources. Does anyone else know BASIC? It's the only language I know... and it's worthless...

BASIC is cool!

And you should be using back-slashes:

C:\DOS
C:\DOS\RUN
RUN\DOS\RUN!!!

10 PRINT "Axe, shut up."
20 PRINT "Will you comply with that request? (yes/no)"
30 INPUT A$
40 IF A$="no" THEN GOTO 10
50 PRINT "Thank you..."
60 END

Tut tut tut, using evil GOTO statements...

I should get you to learn PASCAL...

Java's really good for learning the principles of OO... much nicer than C++, 'cos it has automated garbage collection. smiley - cool

But it can be a bit slow... smiley - sadface

Who said anything about OOP?

I'm a command-line user. I have NO use for objects (in the OOP sense)of any kind, save variables.

Rocket Testpit

Post 188

Peter aka Krans

Neither would I normally... but I often find that using objects instead of types (for instance in PHP) makes my code much more understandable and logical...

BASIC is the only language I know, as I said, and I don't know it overly well... What is so evil about GOTO?

GOTO creates spaghetti code. It is impossible to read most programs which use it. It is a quick fix for a computer layout problem.

And get used to not being the alphasmiley - geek.

And I'm just a lot of one...

BTW, I'd like to point out that the H2G2 server guys are smiley - cool, and we should all take a leaf out of their book.

Are you listening to this JGD? Only you seem to be logging my account ATM. I have eyes, you know. And log file access, as you should know. Oh, what the hell - only seven days of school left...

JDG = Axe's sysadmin = idiot

Captain Venom: (Making his triumphant return to H2G2!) Proud Keeper of ...

No, no sysop is more incompetent than mine... Why she's sysop I don't know because she knows zilch about computers... I heard once she gave out her admin password, not thinking it was very important...
